Sordid was formed April 2005 with founding members Maxx (guitar) and Jay (drums) of Element recruiting bassist Geoff, formerly from Coitus and Stu Crew. They began auditioning for vocals and in the summer of 2005, Brendan was added to the equation. Since the formation of SORDID, they have been performing show after show, terrorizing Virginia with their hardcore style metal and on-stage antics. At the end of 05' they stopped the shows and worked on their first demo. The high demand for new and fresh Metal quickly motivated SORDID to record a full length album. Thus, in the summer of 2008, SORDID's debut album "Demure" was released to the masses. Since the release of Demure, SORDID has been hitting the stages hard and their fan base has seen them perform all over the East Coast and with National acts such as Powerman 5000, Otep, Suicide City , Mushroomhead and more!

Singer: Brendan
Background: The sultan of Scream. The only thing louder than his voice is his onstage antics. Mild-mannered and well educated during the day, at night he becomes vengeance as a Heart-Broken and blood thirsty maniac! Favorite Drink: Jack and Coke with lime and although he does not chug his drinks, when he has one it does not last long. Favorite Gig: He likes to shock people by playing at the Hilton Hotel and yelling at all the corpses walking around in business suits. Favorite Pastime: Hockey gives him a way to hit someone without retribution.

Guitarist: Maxx
Background: Once a Samurai General in the mid 1500's, Tokugawa Ieyasu, he has been reincarnated as a new kind of warrior. His battlefield is the stage and his Katana is the Guitar. He is the missing link between Dimebag and Adam Jones. His aggression is translated by the notes that he plays and is conveyed onto a crowd leaving fans hypnotized and willing to succumb to him. Favorite drink: You will always catch Maxx with a Miller light in hand. Favorite Gig: Dive bar with cheap beer and easy back-door access. Favorite Pastime: Maxx enjoys a lot of simple pleasures in life, like the sound of bones cracking, and badminton.

Bassist: Geoff
Background: He is the love-child of Les Claypool and Cliff Burton. He is a guitarist that plays Bass and his style shows it. His most observable hereditary trait is his Irish anger and love for the Drink. He is as tall as a Leprechaun and just as mean if someone tries to fu*k with his pot o' gold. Favorite Drink: Pabst Blue is his drink of choice, unless there is something cheaper, but there never is. Favorite Gig: House party on the deck with a bon-fire for lighting. Favorite Pastime: He spends most of his free time in the woods walking, looking for the end of that rainbow. Sometimes he walks for so long that he has to stop and sleep overnight. He calls it "Hiking and Camping"

Drummer: Jason - 2006-2011
Background: As the Danny Carey prodigy, Jay plays drums for therapy of his severe A.D.H.D...People like his style because he changes a lot, but they don't realize that he just can't pay attention long enough to do the same thing for any extended period of time. His aggression is released on to his kit like a kid that pissed him off long ago and he just wants to beat the shit out of them. He does not go looking for fights, but when they come around he won't back down and he has the scars to remind himself that he does not always win. Favorite Drink: Hard Candy on the rocks. Jay says "if you don't what that is, then they should try one and join me on the dark side". Favorite Gig: Anywhere outside of Prince William County so he can show off his nipples. Favorite Pastime: Jason loves riding Motorcycles between shows, because he secretly loves Neil Peart.
